Field Report Summary

Physical Description

A medium-sized mammal roughly the size of a raccoon but with a beaver's flattened tail covered in coarse scales. The body is covered in thick, dark brown fur. It has a distinctive black 'bandit' mask around its eyes. Its front paws are dexterous like a raccoon's, allowing it to manipulate objects with ease. It has strong, chisel-like incisors typical of a beaver. Its hind feet are webbed for swimming.

Habitat

Freshwater streams, rivers, and swamps.

Dietary Behavior

Consumes aquatic plants, nuts, berries, and occasionally small fish.

Evolutionary Origin

Developed through interspecies breeding within shared riparian habitats, leading to a stable hybrid population.

Behavioral Notes
