Field Report Summary

A vibrant splash of pink against the brown earth, the Flamingopher is a burrowing bird that filters subterranean aquifers for brine shrimp. Its long neck allows it to peer out of its hole like a periscope. They construct raised mud mounds around their burrows to prevent flooding, creating distinct pink-dotted landscapes.
