Field Report Summary

A specialized wader, the Hamsteron uses its elongated legs to keep its furry body dry while foraging in shallow marshes. It stores seeds and small fish in massive cheek pouches to transport back to dry nests in the reeds. They are skittish, freezing like statues when spotting a hawk.
