Field Report Summary

Physical Description

This animal resembles a typical tree squirrel in size and build, but its body is covered in overlapping, keeled scales instead of fur. The scales range in color from dull brown to olive green, providing camouflage in forested environments. Its bushy tail is also covered in scales, and its feet have sharp claws for climbing. It has large, rodent-like eyes, and a snout similar to a squirrel, though with a more reptilian texture.

Habitat

Tropical and subtropical rainforests.
